TTA Delivers with Effective, Efficient, Safe Solutions that Help Ensure the Safety and Airworthiness of Small Aircraft
In this series, Thrust Tech Accessories (TTA) shines a light on the many different aircraft types presently in service around the world. Join us as we explore the roles they play in the industries they serve and the challenges they may see in performing their important duties day-by-day, year-after-year, across the globe. We also wish to underscore the key role that MROs like TTA play behind-the-scenes in providing overhaul, repair, and modification of engines and airframe accessory components that keep such aircraft flying properly, safely – and long into the future.
Pilatus Known for reliability, versatility, value
In 1991, the Pilatus PC-12 powered by the PT6A-67B engine took to the skies for the first time. Today, more than 1,700 of the PC-12 single-engine turboprop business aircraft and subsequent enhancements of that aircraft have proven their versatility and value. Known for its quality, reliability, low operating costs, and flexibility. The PC-12 NGX, for example, has been described in a past European Business Air News article as providing “the benefit of a luxury jet with the capabilities of a true workhorse.”
Over the next three decades, this and other aircraft types by Swiss-based Pilatus have become highly valued, “go-to” aircraft for commercial airline service, cargo transport, crop dusting, air ambulance service, military use and, of course, corporate, and private aviation. Not surprisingly, Pilatus posted record sales in fiscal year 2021 – up 19 percent versus the previous year – as it set a new production record with 152 aircraft delivered.
When reporting those results, Pilatus CEO Markus Bucher, remarked that “demand for our products and services has rarely been so high.” So, as more customers acquire either new or used Pilatus aircraft for their business and private aviation needs, Thrust Tech Accessories (TTA), an FAA 145 and EASA Certified Repair Station provider of MRO services located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has enhanced its abilities to serve them.
TTA’s Important Role
With more than 30 years of industry experience, TTA offers a range of airframe and powerplant overhaul, repair, and testing services including work on generators, ignition exciters, and some pumps for various Pilatus aircraft. Owners and operators will quickly learn that TTA strives to assist customers with both competitively priced services and on-time deliveries.
That’s doable as TTA has taken several strategic steps to ensure it’s meeting the growing needs of its customers. Starting in 2020 and continuing through 2022, the company has hired more skilled, experienced MRO technicians; sizably increased its on-site parts inventory of OEM and PMA parts and created new DER solutions approved by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, to name just a few of the many strategic moves.
So, if you’re a Pilatus owner or operator, please give us a call to discuss your needs. The conversation and advice are free and we’re adept at handling today’s supply chain issues and finding workable solutions. Having inventory on hand for replacement parts is a big plus.
