Thrust Tech Accessories, Renowned U.S.-Based MRO, Earns U.K. Part 145 Certification

Thrust Tech Accessories, Inc. (TTA), a distinguished U.S.-based MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) company located near Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, has proudly achieved certification from the United Kingdom’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as a Part 145 station. “This prestigious certification underscores our expansive and industry-recognized MRO expertise,” said Stanley Kowlessar, TTA’s president and general manager.

“With this certification, Thrust Tech’s highly skilled team can now assist airlines and aircraft operators in maintaining any U.K.-registered Part 21 aircraft, as well as their engines and components,” Kowlessar added. Part 21 refers to the section of UK CAA regulations that sets the standards for aircraft and parts certification.

“For over three decades, we’ve held domestic certification by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Part 145 station, authorizing us to provide critical maintenance, repair, and overhaul services on a wide range of private, corporate, and commercial aircraft and rotorcraft,” Kowlessar explained. “We are also fully certified by the European Aviation Services Administration (EASA) as a Part 145 maintenance organization.”

Kowlessar continued, “This new UK CAA certification further illustrates TTA’s commitment to stringent safety and operational standards, showcasing our adherence to high-quality maintenance practices. This is crucial for maintaining aircraft airworthiness and enhancing overall aviation safety.”

Obtaining CAA certification is a global badge of excellence, signifying that TTA complies with international regulatory standards.

Achieving CAA certification serves as a global badge of excellence, notes Kowlessar, proving that TTA complies with international regulatory standards. “It also enables the company to expand its market reach, enhance customer trust, and gain a competitive edge in the aviation maintenance industry.”

Rigorous Certification Process

In pursuit of UK CAA certification, TTA demonstrated a robust quality management system, certified and well-trained technicians, and properly equipped facilities. “The approval process is very rigorous,” Kowlessar noted. The CAA meticulously evaluated TTA’s detailed procedures for individual maintenance tasks to ensure they meet safety and regulatory requirements. Additionally, TTA excelled in evaluations of its documentation and record-keeping processes, safety management system scope, and continuous improvement practices.

TTA is committed to ongoing training to ensure employees stay up to date with the latest regulations and procedures.

Going forward, TTA is committed to ongoing training to ensure employees stay up to date with the latest regulations and procedures. The company will maintain compliance with all UK CAA regulations and safety standards, as well as applicable EASA regulations. Routine audits and inspections by the UK CAA will ensure TTA continues to uphold its certification standards.

“TTA is definitely up to the task,” emphasized Kowlessar. “We know that strict processes and rules enhance trust with both new and existing customers, reduce aviation incident risks, and improve overall aviation safety, which is our ultimate goal in the global aviation industry.”
