Stanley Kowlessar on Thrust Tech’s 40 Years of Aviation Excellence

In an industry filled with many competitors, few can claim the remarkable achievement of celebrating 40 years in business while weathering the inevitable storms along the way. What began as a small operation in Hialeah, Fla., on May 13, 1985, has grown into a thriving business that has supported hundreds of families over the past four decades.

The key to Thrust Tech’s enduring success can be attributed to several core principles:

  • Caring for our customers and employees.
  • Operating conservatively and making sound business decisions, even when unpopular.
  • Striving to be the best at what we do every day, even when we occasionally fall short.

As we embark on the next chapter of our journey, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated team for their ongoing contributions and support as we continue to grow together. At Thrust Tech, we remain committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for our employees, enabling them to take care of their families while offering long-term, secure employment opportunities.

Evolving and Expanding Capabilities

Thrust Tech started as a small parts business, then expanded into a rewind shop, and has since transformed into a full-service MRO accessory facility serving a wide range of clients, including regional airlines, corporate jets, private aircraft, helicopters, military, and narrow-body commercial aircraft. Since the Kowlessar family acquired Thrust Tech in 2017, the company has more than doubled in size, expanding both capabilities and infrastructure through reinvestments in the business. It is also important to proudly note that we are FAA, EASA, and CAA-approved.

Today, Thrust Tech is a group of companies, including:

  • Thrust Tech Accessories (TTA)
  • Jet-Tech Engineering (TTE)
  • Thrust Tech Sales & Distribution (TTS)
  • Precision Manufacturing Technology (PMT)

The addition of PMT in early 2025 is a game-changer, positioning Thrust Tech in a unique competitive space within the industry. This strategic move allows us to take greater control over our future by developing and producing essential replacement parts and supplies, helping to overcome the supply chain challenges that are affecting businesses globally.

TTA Continues to Adapt and Pivot

Thrust Tech’s ability to adapt has been tested through four decades of economic cycles and industry challenges, including the aftermath of 9/11, the fuel crises, and most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. We remain lean, resourceful, and always ready to pivot, ensuring that we continue serving our nearly 300 customers worldwide without losing a step.

The continued success of Thrust Tech is driven by our loyal team, deep institutional knowledge, innovative solutions, and a culture that sets us apart. These factors instill confidence in our customers, allowing us to build lasting relationships and lead with excellence.
